• Assisted in a transaction with DBSA in relation to funding Subrotouch (RF) Proprietary Limited in the sum of R372 050 000.
• Assisted in a transaction with DBSA in relation to funding PGE Copperton (RF) Proprietary Limited in the sum of R161 720 615.
• Assisted in a syndicated loan transaction involving Busamed Harrismith Private Hospital (RF) Proprietary Limited and the Standard Bank of South Africa Limited. This deal value was R181 000 000.
• Assisted in carrying out a legal review of Edenvision Medical Holdings Limited ("Edenvision") upon the understanding that RH Managers Proprietary Limited intended to make an equity investment into Edenvision and assisted with drafting the relevant Transaction Documents.
• Assisted in commenting on the relevant funding documents for the Busamed Bloemfontein Private Hospital Transaction in sum of R204 196 223.80.
• Assisted in a legal due diligence in relation to the following companies, including their wholly-owned subsidiaries: Ross Healthcare Proprietary Limited, Hillcrest Private Hospital Proprietary Limited, Romed Properties Proprietary Limited and Gateway Private Hospital Proprietary Limited in relation to the proposed acquisition of 100% shares of Ross Healthcare Proprietary Limited and Romed Proprietary Limited by Busamed Proprietary Limited.
• Assisted in carrying out a legal review of Fairview Hospital Proprietary Limited and its subsidiaries in relation to the proposed acquisition of 50% shares of Fairview Hospital Proprietary Limited by Busamed Proprietary Limited.
• Assisted in the review of legal documents in relation to Multichoice.
• Assisted in a transaction with PIC (representing the Government Employees Pension Fund) in relation to funding Surtees Engineering Proprietary Limited, Tzoneva Asphalt Supplies Proprietary Limited and Surtees Group Holdings Proprietary Limited in the sum of R224 500 000.
• Assisted in carrying out a legal review of the business of Mediclinic Barberton Proprietary Limited ("Mediclinic Barberton") and DJH Defty Proprietary Limited ("Defty") on the understanding that RH Bhopelo Limited and Phodiso Management and Consulting Proprietary Limited, intended to acquire –
  • 100% of the issued share capital of the Mediclinic Barberton; and
  • the pharmacy business of Defty as a going concern.
• Assisted in carrying out a legal review of the business of Lowveld Hospital Proprietary Limited (" Lowveld ") and Zolozest Investment Proprietary (" Zolozest ") on the understanding that Busamed intended to acquire 100% of the issued share capital of Lowveld and Zolozest and assisted in drafting the relevant Transaction Documents.

Secondment (South African Airways SOC Limited)

• Drafting various Service Level Agreements pertaining to the provision of security, cargo and training programmes;
• Commenting on various Service Level Agreements;
• Commenting on Memorandums of Agreement;
• Commenting on a conflict of interest policy; and
• Research on the tender process in terms of when a contract is formed.
